Foo Fighters - “Everlong” (1997)

This is one of those songs that, inexplicably, just missed my radar screen at the time it came out. And a really fucking good song at that — one that I now listen to on repeat a couple times a month.

If it’s been a while since you’ve listened to it, give ‘er another listen. This is strong American rock music.

Say what you will about Mr. Grohl, but the man sings, drums, and plays guitar pretty much exactly how every teenage boy sounds in his own head. Which you gotta respect. Because, basically, he’s living our dream.

Cool video, too.
